Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials will provide my students with the necessary tools to increase living skills to carry them throughout their life. We will cook for ourselves and others for breakfast, snacks and lunch. We also make treats for pets in our life skills classroom. We only have one pan for our induction stove and that keeps us from cooking various recipes. We have broken many utensils and only have one mixing bowl. One of our favorite snacks is smoothies and the immersion blender will be perfect.

This project is for a unique school that provides services for students with more severe disabilities, mostly autism.

Our students have not been successful in their neighborhood school and we are blessed to provide a unique setting that provides supports for behavior development, therapies and skills to prepare them to be more helpful at home, in the community and transition to a group home upon graduating. We love seeing them succeed!
