Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 3, 4 & 5 years old and it may be the first time most of them have come to school and been away from their guardians. Sometimes our emotions get in the way. With this project I am hoping to help my students learn coping strategies when they are feeling big emotions.

My students come to school each day ready to play and learn new skills, but, sometimes they come to school and are not ready to face the challenges of the day.

Sometimes they don’t know how to deal with the emotions and want to escape. These books, fidget tools, and social emotion manipulatives will give my students a way to express their thoughts and emotions appropriately to others.
