My Students

My Pre-K students are inquisitive individuals that work, play and create wonderfully together within a multicultural diverse class.

My students have learned how to share, cooperate, and respect each other not only at school but the parents contest that it's happening at home as well.

Some of their favorite activities are center time and outdoor play.

Although, they especially enjoy music and movement with instruments. This is where they express themselves without inhibition, knowing it's a safe place. Our school environment and community provides that.

My Project

The essence of creative art is expressing oneself. Art helps children learn to make their mark on the world in ways that people will appreciate. They learn that they can actually have an impact on the world through the visual arts. Color paper, color shapes, wood pieces, clay and sand are some of the materials needed to create authentic art.

The key to creativity is to find the kind of creative art education that will help foster young minds to think in innovative ways.

What young children need in order to develop a sense of self-expression is the chance to make their own decisions in their artwork. They should take risks and make mistakes—all important aspects of creating knowledge and of the creative process.”
