My Project

This year, my class learned to express themselves through the arts using some new technology and learned a new skill that would be useful in the future. We used our amazing Cricut machine to decorate our classroom, create materials for our school, and make gifts for our community!

My students love crafting - it has been such an amazing learning experience.

They have learned to follow written instructions, sequence the steps of a project, and use their problem-solving skills. I introduced them to the design software, helped them to measure and cut materials, and apply vinyl to different surfaces! To further our learning and our worksite, we greatly need a light board and a large iron. We have so much more to create!

I have learned throughout the years that exposing students to new ideas and opportunities is the best way to make connections with and reach our students with disabilities. I cannot wait to see all the smiles and confidence that will come, along with some awesome artwork!
