My Students

Students at our school are a driven group of kids. Although they come from a variety of backgrounds, they all are deeply interested in learning science. They love to see how their experiments in class replicate and model phenomena that they see in the real world

My Project

This is a continuation of the project to give students at this high school access to first-rate science lab equipment. Already we've spent some time on Donorschoose to get other equipment, and here we're trying to build out students' access to electronics equipment.

All students deserve to have access to the tools they need to learn science.

Vernier is a company that provides probes, sensors, and analysis software that enables students to collect the quantitative data that builds the foundation of their scientific understanding.

When students have access to these tools, they are going to be able to build electronics projects like radio transmitters and receivers, color changers, and really explore electrodynamics. Static charge sensors will help them learn about electrostatics. And the video analysis software will enable them to use their phones to learn about kinematics.
