My Project

Having access to basic art supplies is essential for students to engage in the creative process of making and creating artworks. These art supplies are crucial to facilitate creative expression, problem solving, cultural and global awareness, increased confidence, skill development and emotional well-being. Our goals for this project are to develop fine motor skills and to explore shape, form, color and contrast.

Students will identify colors and shapes and cut these out to create landscapes, people, and objects to communicate their ideas and stories.

These art pieces will be a description of family, home and interests and will be shared with the class to get to know one another at the beginning of the year. Each of my students are unique and come from diverse backgrounds.

Making art to share student stories helps each student understand their peers, community and world around them. Every year my students are excited to create art and projects that show their diverse perspectives. They deserve to have basic supplies in order to complete required lessons and create the art they love.
