This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We just started an afterschool crochet club at school this year. I have many students that are interested in learning how to crochet and make wearable items for themselves and for close family members.

The majority of my crochet students do not have supplies or accessories at home.

I am asking for crochet supplies and accessories for all the crochet club members. This will help keep my students encouraged and motivated. There are also some great health benefits for those who crochet, which include reducing depression and anxiety, building self-esteem, and relieving stress.

Some families are not able to purchase recreational supplies. Especially with the cost of living steading increasing. Therefore having this project funded would be a dream come true for most of my students.
