My Students

Remember the chalkboard? While we are in the 21st century, we have had to resort to a dry erase whiteboard in order to access our curriculum when the projector overheated and went down for the count.

I have students that show up ready to satisfy their learning curiosity, while taking on the challenges of accessing Common Core curriculum standards, new to our school district.

My fourth grade students are motivated learners, ready to take on the "new" math that literally blew their parents' minds when I started sending home the math homework this year. We have interactive math activities each day in the classroom, allowing students to access curriculum at diverse levels of entry.

My Project

By having a working overhead projector, my students will gain a valuable educational tool, allowing us to show science videos, math videos, in addition to playing interactive learning games, while accessing Common Core curriculum standards. My students are kind, funny, and eager to help one another, always trying their best. They don't ask for much, but know how frustrating it can be when our classroom technology is on the fritz.

A new projector will assist me in accessing the curriculum for this year's class, as well as future classes.

We need this resource, as we move forward in our Common Core learning endeavors. We need working technology, so that we can continue to grow as learners, preparing for our Spring Smarter Balanced Testing.
