My Project

As my teaching career has progressed I have witnessed students becoming less connected with their peers and their schools. They lack a sense of community that is integral to a successful school experiences. I believe that the use of these We Connect Cards can help facilitate a sense of connection between students in their content courses where connection is not always at the forefront of the conversation.

My students are just entering their High School Journey, it is imperative that they feel school is place of belonging and connection for them to flourish.

It is my goal that the materials funded in this project will help to facilitate connections through meaningful discussions and bell ringer activities before we begin focusing on the science content in my classroom.
