My Students

Science is the way that we explain and understand our world. Children today need to be exposed to as much science as often as they possibly can in a world that is constantly changing. I am looking for fun ways for my students to practice science concepts daily and I believe Hot Dots will help!

My students are amazing kids.

They are so excited to learn, to explore, to see what each new day brings. I adore them. The vast majority of my students are living under the poverty line. Their families are struggling to provide them the bare necessities. Their homes are not full of technology, and they don't have many of the fancy games and computers that other kids their age have. It brings me incredible joy to be able to bring a little of this to the classroom. They are so appreciative.

My Project

I am requesting a set of Hot Dots science cards and the electronic "pens" that go with them. Students read question cards and use the pens to tap the Hot Dots and see how they are doing. It is immediate and fun reinforcement of key science concepts. I intend to use these in a center so students can practice independently or in small groups.

My students will greatly benefit from having some fun and exciting resources to practice key concepts in science on a daily basis.

These resources will be useful for students who are working ahead and for students who are struggling with concepts we have already studied. They will help to create a level of science differentiation that is not possible in whole group instruction.
