My Project

After reading 'Woven of World', I hope the students will gain an understanding of the important role of weaving and making items by hand. By creating something with their own hands, they will be able to link the hard work they put into making their creation with the hard work that was put into the creations of past items. This activity will provide insight into textiles and the role that it plays locally as well as worldwide.

By creating these items, they will be able to pass them on to others as a gift or keep them as a keepsake of time they learned something new and how important it was to learn this and other skills from a cultural aspect as well as economic.
