My Project

History is ever-changing and can easily take you on a journey back into Ancient Civilization and return you to the present in the blink of an eye. My students love to engage in deep conversations about the Origins of Life to Hammurabi's Code. The discussions are always interesting, but my students have difficulty with note-taking skills, writing out what they discuss, and creating thinking maps that make connections for their understanding.

Whiteboard tables will give them a creative way to visualize historical literature on Ancient Civilizations through brainstorming, creating thinking maps, writing doodle notes, and then use those notes to write an informational essay on what they have learned.

As a history teacher, I want my students to walk away from class excited about what they learned, talking about what they have learned, and especially showing what they learned using whiteboard tables that will allow them to visualize their thoughts through brainstorming, thinking maps, and doodle notes.
