Twenty-Two years ago when I began the wonderful career of teaching could I have ever expected the joy returned to me from helping students reach or exceed their potential. Never did I realize the passion I possessed to help non-readers connect sounds and students that "hated math" find sense in the subject. Science was not an area that I enjoyed in school year my pursuit to engross myself in the NGSS I believe shows growth and maturity on my part. Therefore, my coming before Donors Choose today, i am seeking assistance in additional professional training.
After receiving my BSE in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, I pursued a MA in Special Education.
My current teaching assignment is my absolute favorite population over many years of teaching. Being a Language Learning Disabled Teacher in a self-contained middle school class is so rewarding. The progress I am able to see on a daily basis helps motivate me to challenge myself more in the best interest of my students. I am hoping that I could received support in attending the 40 Hour Teacher Workweek Club whereas I can learn additional skills to apply to my self-contained students and their reading and language needs.

The The 40 Hour Teacher Workweek Club provides professional development on productivity to educators who want to focus on what REALLY matters, both in and outside of the classroom.
Thousands of teachers have already starting trimming hours off their workweek by getting organized, streamlining routines and giving kids ownership of the classroom.
By taking this course I will grow into being truly intentional about how I use what I am learning to help students while generating more pro-active instructional, contractual, and personal time.
My goal is to capitalize on the information shared in this course and directly apply the learning to the classroom I am lucky to teach within.
