My Students

Our incredible middle school students represent neighborhoods from throughout the borough of Brooklyn, New York. We also represent a unique district (District 75) within the city of New York that is comprised of students with unique abilities and challenges, and this is in addition to the daily struggles and challenges that are faced by their hard-working families from across this city. In spite of everything, our students are resilient, brilliant, and they motivate me to try to be the best version of myself each day. Please take a moment to read about our aspirations and to share the following project with others.

My Project

Over the course of the past two years, technology has become central to our educational environment, and connectivity can be fickle. The resources that we are requesting in this grant include ethernet cables and adapters, wifi extenders, switches, and other redundant connectivity equipment that will help us to maintain a connection, even when our networks become unreliable—which tends to happen more often than we would like.

Our students need consistent access to the digital resources that we have begun to use over the past two years, and the resources in this project will help to ensure that they have that consistency.
