Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are kindergarten and 1st grade students who are in the classroom two days a week and three days a week working one-on-one with their families. They are amazing children whose actions always come from their hearts. We spend our days in the classroom with lots of hands-on activities that get us up and moving.

My school focuses on learning through classical education.

Students are encouraged to play a major role in their personalized learning plan through goal setting and project-based learning. The children have voices and a choice in their daily learning.

My Project

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom want to read but find it scary when the books resources are not inviting. What a great way for them to practice reading with an alternative to traditional skills practice.

This literacy set will create a safe learning environment that increases student confidence.

Students will read in a hands on way find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. My students will love getting their hands on the tiles.
