My Project
Students need to be able to determine when a solution is conductive to determine the type of bond it forms. Most of our conductivity probes at Reno high school are old and no longer work. Students have to share with others which causes labs to take longer. The conductivity probes allow students to easily test solutions and determine if it is strong conductor of electricity or a weak conductor. They get immediate feed back with the conductivity probes. They are then able to determine the difference between ionic and covalent bonds.
More than half of students from low‑income households
