My Project

My fourth graders enjoy math. When it comes to fractions, some students struggle when learning new concepts. The fraction strips will give my student a visual representation of the fractional amounts. This will allow students to find equivalent fractions, compare fractions and decompose them. Additionally, the use of fraction strips will allow students to see that 1 whole can be represented in many ways.

The whiteboards will engage students and allow me to check their understanding.

I can quickly assess my students as I ask them questions and they lift their boards to show their work.
