My Students

I am lucky! My students are all home working hard and participating consistently. Despite not being able to see their friends, the teachers, or working in their normal learning environment, they persevere. They are creating amazing projects to demonstrate learning. They are sending me videos of how they are growing while being quarantined that we share with students across the world. They are also learning new hobbies and skills to share with each other.

My students continue to work hard, exhibit strength and remain positive, despite being quarantined in their homes for 2 months.

They remain optimistic and their optimism strengthens me and keeps me going. Most of them do not have their own devices and are using old Chromebooks that the school has provided, but we are still learning. We are Zooming 2-3 times a day and they visit during office hours to stay connected or sit with me while they work. We are getting through this together because we are a learning community and we are a family.

My Project

The MacBook Air will enable my students to learn from me remotely while they are at home. The best way for my students to grow academically and to achieve is through a computer that has the capability to store lessons and enable me to see my students as I teach them remotely. I will be able to store lessons for quick access. I will be able to see all of them at the same time while we work together as we continue learning. The storage that this computer offers allows for quick access to videos and lessons that I have made. I will be able to teach virtually without communication lags in the applications or while using the video features.

I will be able to create amazing lessons, teach remotely, make and store videos, and have the storage capacity to keep everything in the computer for easy access.

I have my own class of students that I teach all subject too. I also teach writing to the other upper grade classrooms. Computers are the only way that teachers can teach their students now and for the foreseeable future and I need this tool to influence and strengthen the education of all the upper grade classes that I teach.
