My Students

My students parents recently migrated to Los Angeles from Central America and Mexico. The students are living in improverished area in central Los Angeles with lack of proper housing. My students come to school without backpacks, dirty clothes and lacking in basic english skills and are well below grade level in reading due limited English. These students do not have access to books at home and are in need of school supplies and snacks.

This is a high needs class with alot of various levels of needs for intervention.

So I do personalize and individualized in instructions for students who speak limited english. We need computers with reading programs to facilitate their needs.

My Project

The Chromebooks will provide a more engaging individualize instruction based on the the students needs and reading levels. Students will be able progress in their reading development. Students will gain knowledge in keyboarding, and research skills by having access to this technology in the classroom.

Students will be able to use the technology on a daily basis in small groups to improve reading levels.

Students will be more well versed in modern technology. Also, it will help expose my students to more literature and this will expose them to more books or literature. This will help them improve their grade level standards.
