Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 'Exploring Math Through Travel' project will revolutionize the way our fifth-grade bilingual and bicultural students learn mathematics. By integrating real-world travel scenarios and cutting-edge technology, and hands-on materials, we will create an immersive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The computers we're requesting will form part of our computer center and multimedia resources which will enable our students to explore mathematical concepts in a global context, developing problem-solving skills and cultural awareness.

Our goal is to increase student engagement, proficiency, and confidence in math while nurturing a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.

Our students are uniquely talented, resilient, and eager to learn, with many facing linguistic and socioeconomic barriers. This project will empower them to see themselves as capable mathematicians, travelers, and global citizens.
