Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love Mondays because "It's Computer Day!" My students enjoy every minute of the computer lab on Mondays. My students have access to a computer once a week for 30 minutes.

The only time my students' get to use a computer is on Mondays during our computer time slot.

My class has access to the computer lab every Monday for 30 minutes. The time spent in the computer lab is priceless. You can hear a pin drop during computer lab because the students are so engaged in the activities they are doing. Many of my students do not have computers at home.

My Project

Having a computer in our classroom will give my students endless opportunities to research topics being taught, reinforce math and language arts standards, and view our CA Treasure Unit technology lessons the day of the Lesson and not only on "Mondays".

My students may be our future Bill Gates, engineers, or computer geeks because they had access to a computer in kindergarten.

My students might even show their parents how to use a computer at home. If parents see that a 5-6 year old can use a computer, then they might express interest in learning how to use a computer.
