My Students

My school is located in Stonemountain, GA. Most of our students are from nearby motels where they provide shelters for homeless families. I service students with special needs in a interrelated setting. My students are emotionally very weak as they don't have any opportunity to see success in their efforts. They lost interest in learning. As a passionate teacher for these children, I am trying to incorporate technology in my instruction, which they love to handle when they learn. Because I have only one student desktop at my class, I couldn't actively engage all my students without behavior issues as everyone struggles to earn their technology time. Most of my students only touch technology devices at school. In this competitive world, I want my students to be knowledgeable in all sources and develop their self-esteem to try until they show success.

My Project

I am requesting one tablet to service my special needs students to bridge the gap in their learning and math goals through the computer programming like Lexia Core5 and Moby Max. This material will enable my students to consistently apply remediation in their learning goals. All my students have IEP goals. In order for them to master the IEP goals and moving toward their academic goals, this tablet will serve as a great tool for my student's learning.

I will be using the computer programming as a remediation tool in their academic deficits and the practice tool for their IEP goals.

I am seeing great progress when students see the words on the screen with pictures again and again. It is enriching their sight reading, vocabulary skills, and math skills.
