My Students

I teach at an inner-city title one middle school. I made this decision because I felt that I would impact more students in this setting. I feel that representation is extremely important and I am overjoyed that I'm able to serve as a role model for our youth.

I take pride in my craft as an educator and hope to inspire my students to achieve their dreams!

Demographically, my students are African American and Hispanic. They are faced with obstacles everyday, however they strive to always do their best and persevere. I'm excited to see the continued growth and success that they will display!

My Project

This computer will increase my technical effectiveness by allowing me to connect to multiple students. I will be able to teach on my work laptop and conduct one on one and small group sessions using this computer. These personal check-ins will be essential for assessing student understanding in a more intimate setting where they will feel more comfortable. It will also be essential in allowing me to provide interventions to students and give them the opportunity to share. This computer will allow me to create a safe space for my students.
