This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been a teacher in a public middle school in Sun Valley Ca. for 9 years . My classroom is composed students with special needs grades 6th , 7th and 8th. For many years now, we have been fortunate to have an inclusion program in which my students are paired with students in the general education setting. We share over 300 students among the programs. The combination provides a strong sense of community where students with special needs learn to establish relationships and model better behavior from their peers and vice-versa.

My Project

Computers are now a permanent fixture in our school culture since the pandemic. They are lauded as an educational tool for students to access, process, and organize information at lightning speed. Because computers today are made to be “user friendly”, kids generally master the skills necessary to use them quite easily.

Students with learning differences, hearing or visual impairments, developmental delays or physical challenges might have some difficulties---but they can be overcome by using a few adaptive aids such as the mouse.

I am asking for you to please consider donating to my project and give all my student this valuable mouse to use in class.
