Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I would like to teach my students the importance of composting. Materials for this project will help my students observe and learn how convert our school's food scraps and yard waste into valuable, natural fertilizer that can then be added to our school gardens. We are requesting Dual Body Tumbling Composter, Worm Therm Soil Thermometer and books to support our learning goal.
The composting materials requested in this project will help students learn that composting is a responsible way to reuse organic waste and will help us reduce the amount of trash we produce.
With your help, my students will gain numerous science and math connections to reusing organic waste. They will also learn about the life cycles, recycling, and protecting our planet.
