Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want my students to become kind and compassionate human beings, and kindergarten is the perfect time to set this foundation. During this year, students will explore their emotions and learn that everyone experiences feelings. Through stories and social play, they will gain insights into their classmates' lives, helping them relate to others and expand their understanding beyond their own experiences.

Play is a key method for children to learn kindness and empathy.

With the guidance of my teaching and the support from this project, students will be exposed to different perspectives. To deepen their understanding of compassion, we will focus on community helpers and the important roles they play in our society. Helping others is a central aspect of compassion.

The skills and values learned will be applicable in the real world. Our classroom will become a nurturing environment where kindness and compassion thrive, creating a foundation for a happier, more united world.
