My Project

This project includes snacks, stickers, fidgets, and more. At first glance maybe not the things you associate as significant for educational spaces, but if we look deeper we realize their importance in building and upholding community, supporting each person's humanity, offering moments of encouragement, and being foundational for empowerment.

Jermaine Fowler form Humanity Archive asks this thoughtful question, "How do you unleash the best of every human being?" MS447, as a restorative school, answers this by starting at the core of each human... by encouraging our hearts.

We just received news of end-of-the-year budget cuts, please help us continue our practice of encouraging the students and adults in our community through snacks during Advisory, stickers during morning greeting, Monday Morning Encouragement treats, fidgets to support focus while learning, and materials that uplift a diversity of identities.

Our goal at our school is to create spaces of belonging that embrace everyone in the way they require. By funding this project you will help us accomplish this in fun, delicious, and creative ways!
