Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's often times easy to supply our students with the items they need in school but they often don't have the support for learning they need at home as many of our students' families are new to the country and struggling. Many of them are hispanic coming from Latin and South America. In an effort to support their educational needs at home I am trying to provide the families with the items they need to encourage learning at home. These items include flexible seating in the form of Gaiam balls and cantilever chairs for some students with special needs, dry erase boards to practice English and writing skills as well as Math skills, along with primary journals where they can write and tell stories. Lanyards and pouches where they can keep their ids as many family members forget their ids when picking up students and this is a safety concern so providing them with these lanyards will help them.
