My Students

My students are ready and eager to learn. We are a Title I school with 100% free and reduced price lunch. Our students come from a rural community with parents who want them to succeed and the best for them in life. My students are in first grade.

We enjoy learning in a nontraditional environment and using technology to explore the world around us.

My students are excited and love the opportunity to explore the world around them. They have been learning to work collaboratively and how to find solutions to real-world problems.

My Project

My students are a fun and lively bunch. We like to start our day with a community building activity. Half the class comes to the carpet and the other half stay at their seat because our carpet is not large enough for all the students.

My students need a carpet large enough for them to all come to the carpet and spend time building our classroom community.

The social skills they learn by working together and talking with their peers will help them throughout their lives. Students now are different than they were 20 years ago and they need time to build their social skills.

This project will help us to do just that. Also, we use brag tags to show when we do something amazing! The storage box will give us a spot to store the tags and a visual reminder to students about what they are working toward.
