Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is filled with students who are kind, caring and compassionate. They are quick to help each other out whenever someone drops something or doesn't know what to do next. Many times 2-3 students volunteer to help their classmates work on challenging problems.

The materials for this project will be used to make blankets that our students will donate to a local elder care facility and to students on our angel tree.My students will assemble the blankets in our classroom.

I will make arrangements to deliver the blankets before Christmas.

We hope to spread holiday happiness to those that may not have family members nearby. As the holidays approach it can be a lonely time for people that are not living close to family members. My students will be able to serve as surrogate family through this project. We plan to write letters and holiday cards as well to send along with our gifts.
