This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our My Brother's Keeper (MBK) group of students would like to give back to their community by suppling a Community Refrigerator for the hungry. This community refrigerator would be placed outside our school and available for the community to take food items, if they are hungry. The boys will continually work on getting donations for this community refrigerator.
President Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper initiative to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and ensure that all young people can reach their full potential.
This initiative connects young people to mentoring, support networks, and the skills they need to find a good job or go to college and work their way into the middle class.
