My Students
I am fortunate to have truly amazing students that have a passion for Agriculture. While many are animal lovers, and are able to raise animals from rabbits and chickens, all the way up to Cattle, we also have many students raising plants or working for others in a service aspect. All of our Ag students have at least 1 ag project a year, many decide to do multiple projects.
Agriculture isn't just cows, sows, and plows any longer!
My Project
Many of our students have been very interested in our community market project, and part of that will be a food safety and production certifications, allowing students the opportunity to learn how the industry markets, and sells eggs, vegetables and meats. This learning outcome will all be done by using the products they are currently producing. These vacuum sealer and other tools listed will help students in learning about packaging, creating an appealing product, earning there meat science certification, and will open many opportunities for careers in butcher shops, grocery stores, delis, and really any career needing the food safety background. This project will also help students learn the primary and resale cuts of various meats
