Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school serves underrepresented students in East Las Vegas. Most of my students are from minority backgrounds and low socioeconomic status. The majority of our students are African American or Latinx descent. 100% of students receive free or reduced meals. This year, I want my students to feel excited and eager to start a new school year, eliminating any educational barriers they might encounter.

My goal is for these students to feel welcomed, secured and academically challenged, fostering classroom interaction and peer to peer learning.

The supplies listed include positive motivational quotes, poster boards, supplies for hands on activities and classroom decorations.

By donating to this project, my students will have a better opportunity to learn, thrive and ultimately help increase their academic success.
