Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am looking for a community building acitivity where the class can view their classmates and myself as a family when we are all together. Sharing the reading aloud books I selected can help put them in the right mindset.

Not only using the books to help setup the right mindset for the year, the students would be creating class bracelets in hopes that students can feel like they are a community and a family while at school.

I thought it would be a fun activity to start the first week with along with a way to set a tone for the new year. It is important to let students know that they matter to me and that they matter to each other.
