Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All 3 of our Kindergarten classes at BVHM will engage in a community walk field trip that will immerse the students in exploring San Francisco's Mission District. After students have the opportunity to experience the community walk, we will engage our students in reflection about their experiences in the community. Each student will create a part in a class book about the community. Together we will create individual class books and each student will receive a copy of the published book. Funding will support the book-making component of this project.
