Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have complex communication needs and bodies. They use communication aides such as an iPad with communication apps or picture symbols to express their needs, respond to questions, ask questions, tell jokes, and engage in meaningful social interactions! At this time, I need fun and engaging science and art activities to inspire them! They will have so much more to say if they are enjoying their play! Science activities include, slime, sensory balls, sensory play, water play, and water color art. In addition, I am requesting mini-binders, lamination machine, and velcro to create unique individualized communication systems for each of them.

My project will engage the children as well as help train staff in how to provide accessible communication for all.
