Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a secondary school SLP, I work with students across a huge range of communication abilities. From a mild stutter to nonverbal kiddos, one thing all of my students have in common is this: they are teenagers, budding into some of the most influential years of their lives.

As young adults, my students would benefit from incorporating functional communication lessons preparing basic foods, hence the fridge and microwave.

Working in a low-income community, I spend my own money ensuring snacks are always readily available for my students as well.
