My Students

The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.

The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.

They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.

My Project

Communication is an important aspect in all STEM fields. Being able to communicate effectively is a vital skill for my engineering and robotics students to learn especially as they work to develop solutions using the engineering design process.

In order to learn these communication skills, my students need pens, pencils, markers, highlighters, post it notes, thank you cards and stamps in order to communicate their solutions as they work in teams to solve engineering problems and say thank you to those that help us grow.

Students who take my engineering and robotics classes learn about the importance of and how to communicate efficiently and effectively and these materials will help them do so.
