Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The challenge my students face is not having enough resources. They live in a low-income community, and there are not many student-engaging resources available for them to use outside of school. I try my best to provide stimulating activities in class so they are motivated to learn every day!

My students are amazing!!

I have 25 students that were in a bilingual classroom last year. This year, they are transitioning into a part time classroom, which means that English is their second language. They are hard working students that are eager to learn. They are used to each other and work very well together. That's why this project is important. I am trying to provide them with more materials to use in their Daily 5 activities.

My Project

The resources I am requesting will help students work on their Daily 5 activities. I am requesting letter stamps, so they can do Working with Words activities, as well as stamp pads. I am also requesting magnetic boards to also use for Working with Words activities through Daily 5. The last part of the resources I am requesting are bins with lids so we can easily store and organize the different Daily 5 materials.

This project is important because I want students to want to work in my classroom, and have fun doing it!

When students are interested in class activities, they do well!! I try my best to have fun, motivating resources available for all my students.
