Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every middle school district needs a Digital Fabrication Laboratory or Fab Lab in 2024. Having a reliable device to execute the many projects and a place for learning and innovation to occur is crucial.

The use of 3D printers, CNC mills/routers, laser engravers, soldering equipment, vinyl cutters, 3D scanning, and embroidery machines can be facilitated with the use of a solid computer as command central.

As a Library Media Specialist, I am charged with coordinating the many moving parts of launching our Fab Lab, and procuring a state-of-the-art Mac Pro would be a definite boost to our "command center" goal.

The advanced technology inherent in the Mac desktop would set the stage for a vital Fab Lab not only available to our 776 students but to all the stakeholders in our district. This device would help foster the love of life-long learning for everyone in our community.
