Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a creative group of 3-5th graders. They have a real passion for graphic novels and all things comics. My goal for this project is to put that passion into action during out genius hour clubs and help students create their own original comic books.

Students will use these art materials and what they have learned reading and examining published comic books to create their own original graphic stories.

This project will allow my students to practice literacy skills in a way that is engaging and fun. All students will be able to share their finished product with students in our school library as well as with their families and friends.
