Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Each and every day, I am inspired by my students. Many of my students live in poverty, some have also suffered trauma beyond what any 8 year old experience. Yet each day, they come to school and greet me at the door with a handshake and a big smile. You see, school is the place where they feel safe, a place where they can just be an 8 year old kid dreaming about the opportunities the future may one day hold for them.

Children need to move, these chairs will allow students to easily move about the room as they collaborate with fellow students.
Research has shown that physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.
Flexible seating helps to keep young minds focused and alert.
Some immediate benefits of incorporating flexible seating into a classroom can include: better oxygen flow to the brain, higher ability to concentrate, improved memory retention, less stress, excess energy is used up, improved physical fitness, and increased motivation.
These seats also stimulate students' sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help students stay focused for longer periods of time and are especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD.
