Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment that is inclusive, supportive, and conducive to learning. I want to provide my students with the tools and resources they need to reach their full potential, regardless of their abilities.

By providing lap desks and headphones, I hope to foster a sense of belonging, comfort, and confidence in my students.

My scholars deserve new headphones instead of the ones held together with tape from last year.

Lap desks will provide them with a stable and supportive surface to work on, helping them to maintain focus and reduce fatigue. They love sitting in different places other than their desks throughout the day, just like us!

Headphones will allow students to focus on their work without distractions from noise, which can be particularly beneficial for students who need to concentrate on tasks that require silence, such as STAR testing or iReady.
