My Project

Group gathering happens daily in the classroom. Scholars meet on the rug for morning meeting, math lessons, ELA, knowledge lessons, and more. Often times materials like whiteboards, markers, pencils and paper are used during these meetings on the rug. The problem comes in with the size of the rug, each scholar is assigned a colored dot that they are expected to use to keep their body and all materials in, this can be a challenge for little people to do!

They try their best to keep everything in their space but often spill over into their neighbors space, sometimes causing distractions and unnecessary talking about not having enough space.

By having a larger classroom rug to meet on I am confident scholars will be able to focus on lessons and engage in meaningful content focused conversations!
