Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The physical environment of a classroom is essential in fostering a positive learning environment for students. All students deserve a Comfy, Cozy Classroom where they can feel welcomed, valued, and safe. Please help me reach my goal so I can provide the following materials that will help my scholars progress in both their academics and social-emotional learning:

Comfy colored floor cushions will help support my students with Autism sensory processing needs by providing an option for flexible and comfortable seating during instructional time, allowing my students to increase their level of attention while learning.

A Little Spot of Emotions book will encourage my scholars to be able to identify their feelings/emotions, which is imperative to their social-emotional development. Plush toys that display different emotions are a great visual tool that will help support my scholars in self-regulating their feelings.

Disinfecting Wipes, Air Fresheners, and Tissue boxes will provide a clean, refreshing, and germ-free classroom environment. These will help my scholars feel more of a sense of belonging when they know their environment is cared for and clean.
