My Students

I am so lucky to spend my days with an amazing group of second graders that walk into my classroom each day with an eagerness to learn!

My students come to school not only to learn HOW to read, but it is my goal to foster a love of reading in them so they can become life-long readers.

I've learned that the best way to draw curiosity, strike up conversations, lead discussions, and encourage smiles and laughter in my students is through shared experiences on our classroom carpet together. They are so eager to gather on our carpet to share stories and have discussions with their peers. Their excitement to learn is contagious!

My Project

Not all students learn the same way. It is my goal to provide instruction and a comfortable environment for the love of learning to take place in each of my students.

Providing my students with various seating options will allow each of them to embrace their comfort level as they complete their independent work and/or immerse themselves in a good book.

Not only do I want my students to have seating options in my classroom, I would also like to give them STEM activities that encourage their creativity and imagination to soar to new places as they work together.
