This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, we spend a great deal of time on the carpet in front of the room. My students sit there daily to listen to our read aloud, classroom discussions, math center time, and other times when I need to get on the same level with them for those special learning opportunities. Some of our best memories are made on the carpet when we can all sit together as a class.

A new carpet will allow my students to get comfortable on the floor in front of the SmartBoard for all of our daily learning activities.

If they are comfortable, they will be better engaged and overall have a better learning experience.
