My Students

Teaching is more than just a profession, it's about the gift of teaching children to be well-rounded citizens and learners in our ever-changing world. I teach fourth grade in a small, rural town in upstate New York. Everyday, I strive to provide my students with an engaging, challenging, safe learning environment and the feeling to enjoy being in school.

My classroom is a place of challenge and high-expectations.

My goal is to provide students with skills to succeed in the future.

My Project

My students need a rug to allow for creativity, comfort and space to learn their best! I believe in providing children with small-group and individualized instruction and the rug allows us the space to be able to spread out and meet in small groups. It also provides them with a space to get comfy and cozy with a book, meet in our literature circle groups or for me to teach lessons.

Plus, having a carpet also gives us a space to get moving and get our wiggles out, which is helpful for the kiddos to get refocused and learn their best!
