My Students

This year is my 18th year of teaching and I love it just as much now as I did 18 years ago. My students are excited to learn and I try to find ways to make sure all of them are engaged and have the opportunity to shine in my classroom each and every day.

The majority come form low-income households and do not get many of the experiences that you and I would be afforded.

I want to make sure that I am providing them with a loving, caring, cozy, and exciting environment so they will want to come back to school every day.

I am always looking for new ways to help their love of learning so they will continue to grow!

My Project

I do my best work in my green chair, my daughter at the kitchen table, and my son in his bed so why would it be any different in a classroom? I want my students to be comfortable while they learn. I have comfy pillows and bean bag chairs, stools, and even a futon in my classroom so they can sit around the room throughout the day and work on their work in a way that they are most comfortable.

I would like some sturdy tables and chairs that they can sit at to do their work either individually or in small groups that I will be able to rely on year after year.

When kids feel safe, loved, and are in a comfy and cozy environment MAGIC HAPPENS! To allow freedom and movement throughout the day will ensure that all of these needs are being met.
