My Students

My second graders are a creative, thoughtful and hilarious bunch! They absolutely love hands-on, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. Even during this pandemic year, they come to school each day ready to take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically!

My Project

Each child in my classroom is passionate about learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We like to incorporate a variety of alternative seating options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are. This year, most of our classroom organization structures have shifted. Although individual desks make it possible to maintain safe spacing, my students greatly miss their usual movement and storage options. Flexible seating and storing their ever-growing stack of materials makes it easier for them to wiggle their bodies and be responsible with their learning tools! I am asking for help to fund flexible seating options for my entire class as well as "Seat Sacks" to help us make the most of our space!
